I have been practicing improvisation with musicians and dancers since 2016, performing with various ensembles in South Africa, the Netherlands and Berlin.
Notable projects include “New Compositions” with Jori Snell (DN), Andrew Harwood (CA), Lucia Walker (UK/SA) and Thalia Laric (SA) as part of the Any Body Dance Lab programme in 2018; “Real Time Composition” performed at the ICA Live Art Festival in 2017; “All at Once” performance research with Thalia Laric, Manuela Tessi and Kristina Johnstone, performed in Johannesburg and Amsterdam in 2018 and TAH DAM project for children with Thalia Laric, Manuela Tessi, Vintani Nafassi and Sumalgy Nuro for FRATZ Youth Theatre Festival, Berlin.
Since 2018 I co-facilitate a yearly interdisciplinary improvisation workshop series in Cape Town, MusicDance Performance Residency (previously MusicDance021), with close colleagues Thalia Laric and Manuela Tessi.
