Träet (2020)
10-minute video made in an experimental collaboration with Nanna Katrine Hansen. Footage, video editing, vocals and field recordings by Nanna, audio composition and additional field recordings by Coila-Leah Enderstein.
A speculative text written by Nanna Hansen takes inspiration from the character Mahdokht in Iranian author Shahrnush Parsipur's novel “Women without Men” (1989). In the book, Mahdokht decides to plant herself as a reaction against the expectations of her family and society, a somewhat ambivalent act of agency.
