TOME (2015)

A ten-minute performance piece choreographed, composed and directed with Nicola van Straaten. We used sound and movement on and around a grand piano stool in choreographed and improvised sequences, seeking to call into question conventions of classical art-making and presentation and foreground the vulnerability of the performer.
Presented at Baxter Dance Festival, PurPur Lab in 2015, and Circle1 Gallery (Berlin) in 2019. For the second performance, a zine collaging our notes from creating the work was distributed to the public. The zine was further collaged into another version for the third performance in 2019.
