Ping Pong Ball (2016)

A twenty-minute improvised theatre and sound performance developed in sessions with musician and artist Daniel Bruce Gray and theatre practitioner Richard September. We drew on the ping pong ball’s qualities for artistic direction, using objects including a tumble dryer, pot of popcorn, 200 ping pong balls and other objects both as props and for sound production. We also used a grand piano, extended by contact microphones running through effects units, and various electronic noise-producing components.

Presented at the Edge of Wrong Festival 2016 at The Bijou, Cape Town.
