Avanti Duo
Sally Minter and I started playing chamber music together in 2014. In 2016, we launched our duo as Avanti (an Italian word and musical term meaning “(moving) forward”). We’ve won the duo category prize at the Stellenbosch National Ensemble Competition two years in a row, participated in the first DECODA South Africa interactive chamber music performance course and performed locally and abroad.
In 2018 we ran a crowdfunding campaign to cover the production of our debut album. Thanks to the generous support of old and new fans, we were able to launch “Avanti Live in Concert” in June 2018 and the album is available in CD form or for download or streaming on all the major platforms.
